International Day of Forests 2024

"IGMAN" d.d. Konjic, 21.3.2024. - The UN General Assembly (UNGA) proclaimed 21 March as the International Day of Forests in 2012. The Day celebrates and raises awareness of the importance of all types of forests.

On each International Day of Forests, countries are encouraged to undertake local, national, and international efforts to organize activities involving forests and trees, such as tree planting campaigns. The theme for each International Day of Forests is chosen by the Collaborative Partnership on Forests (CPF). The UN Forum on Forests (UNFF) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) organize the Day in collaboration with governments, CPF, and others.

The theme for International Day of Forests 2024 is Forests and Innovation: New Solutions for a Better World.

"IGMAN" d.d. Konjic, as an important contributing factor to economic development in Bosnia and Herzegovina, also provides significant funds for humanitarian purposes and sponsorship of cultural and sports events, and support specific NGO projects aimed at environment protection, including projects of mountaineering associations, scout organizations, mountain rescue services etc.

We are joining the global campaign and participating in this International Day 2024 using the hashtag #ForestDay.

Međunarodni dan šuma 2024

"IGMAN" d.d. Konjic, 21.3.2024. - Opća skupština UN-a (UNGA) proglasila je 21. mart Međunarodnim danom šuma 2012. godine s ciljem podizanja svijesti o važnosti svih vrsta šuma.

UN Forum o šumama (UNFF) i Organizacija za hranu i poljoprivredu UN (FAO) posvećuju posebnu pažnju obilježavanju Dana šuma, ohrabrujući zemlje da preduzimaju lokalne, nacionalne i međunarodne napore u aktivnostima koje uključuju šume, poput kampanja sadnje drveća.

„Šume i inovacije: Nova rješenja za bolji svijet“, tema je Međunarodnog dana šuma 2024 odabrana od strane Partnerstva za saradnju na području šuma (CPF).

"IGMAN" d.d. Konjic, kao važan faktor u ekonomskom razvoju Bosne i Hercegovine, izdvaja značajna sredstva za humanitarne svrhe i sponzorstva kulturnih i sportskih događaja, te podržava specifične projekte nevladinih organizacija usmjerene na zaštitu okoliša, uključujući projekte planinarskih društava, izviđačkih organizacija, gorskih službi spašavanja itd.

Ovaj Međunarodni dan 2024. obilježavamo hashtagom #ForestDay pridružujući se globalnoj kampanji Forests and Innovation: New Solutions for a Better World.
